Biblical Truth for the Questions,
Challenges, and Decisions of Life

At desiring truth, our purpose is to help people know what God has said, understand what His Word means, and learn how to live according to biblical truth.

We believe Christians need more than inspirational thoughts, religious opinions, or brief devotional messages. They need to understand the Scriptures.

Through radio, podcasts, publications, a monthly newsletter, and biblical seminars, desiring truth seeks to equip believers to know the Word, understand sound doctrine, develop a biblical worldview, and live lives that please and honor God.

1. THE desiring truth CHRISTIAN RADIO TALK SHOW

You Have Questions.
God’s Word Has Answers.

Join Rick Morocco and John Neyman every Sunday at 2:00 PM on 101.5 FM for the Desiring Truth Christian Radio Talk Show.

Every week we address questions people are actually asking about:

The Bible • Salvation • Christian Living • Marriage • Family • Anxiety • Suffering • Doctrine • Relationships • Current Events • Cultural Issues

But our purpose is not merely to offer another opinion.

We want to know: What does the Bible say?

The world is filled with competing voices telling us what to believe, how to think, and how to live.

Desiring Truth brings those questions back to the authority of Scripture.

WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR QUESTIONS

Send us your question.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO EXPOUND THE SCRIPTURES?

To expound Scripture means to open the biblical text and carefully explain what the inspired writer actually said and meant.

2. Desiring Truth PODCASTS

Teaching Through the Bible — Verse by Verse, Chapter by Chapter

The Desiring Truth Podcast, available on Spotify, is devoted to helping you understand the Bible by actually studying the Bible.

Rather than selecting an isolated verse and building a message around it, we work through the biblical text verse by verse and chapter by chapter, allowing the meaning of Scripture to determine what is taught.

This is often called expository Bible teaching or expounding the Scriptures.

WHY VERSE-BY-VERSE TEACHING MATTERS

When the Bible is taught consecutively, verse by verse and chapter by chapter, difficult passages cannot simply be avoided.

LEARN THE BIBLE, NOT JUST ABOUT THE BIBLE

There is a difference between hearing someone talk about Christianity and learning to understand Scripture for yourself.

The goal of the Desiring Truth Podcast is to help you become a more careful student of God’s Word.

As we move through books of the Bible, you will learn how passages fit together, how doctrines develop, and how biblical truth applies to everyday life.

Whether you are studying at home, driving to work, exercising, or preparing for your own Bible study, the Desiring Truth Podcast allows you to take serious Bible teaching with you.

Verse by Verse. Chapter by Chapter. Book by Book. Understand What God Has Said.

3. THE Desiring Truth MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Biblical Truth You Can Read, Study, and Keep

The Desiring Truth Monthly Newsletter is written for Christians who want to grow beyond a surface understanding of their faith.

Each month we address important biblical doctrines, questions of Christian living, and contemporary issues from a biblical worldview.

FIVE REASONS TO SUBSCRIBE

1. GROW IN SOUND BIBLICAL DOCTRINE
Learn what Scripture teaches concerning:
God • Jesus Christ • Salvation • Grace • Justification • Sanctification • The Holy Spirit • The Church • Scripture • The Christian Life
You should know not only what you believe, but why you believe it from Scripture.
2. DEVELOP GREATER ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
Can you really know that you have eternal life?
What is genuine biblical assurance?
How does a believer deal with doubt?

Desiring Truth examines these questions directly from Scripture so your confidence rests upon God’s promises rather than changing emotions.

3. STRENGTHEN YOUR CONFIDENCE IN THE BIBLE
Why should we trust Scripture?
What does inspiration mean?
How did we receive the Bible?

Is Scripture sufficient for faith and life?

The newsletter helps Christians understand the inspiration, authority, reliability, truthfulness, and sufficiency of God’s Word.
4. UNDERSTAND CURRENT EVENTS THROUGH A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW
Culture changes rapidly.
God’s truth does not.

Desiring Truth examines contemporary moral, social, cultural, and spiritual issues by asking:

Desiring Truth examines contemporary moral, social, cultural, and spiritual issues by asking:

“What biblical principles should govern the way Christians think about this?”
Our worldview must be shaped by Scripture rather than Scripture being reshaped to accommodate the worldview of our culture.
5. LEARN HOW DOCTRINE CHANGES DAILY LIFE
Biblical doctrine is not merely information for theologians.
What you believe affects how you live.
Sound doctrine affects your:
Marriage • Family • Decisions • Relationships • Priorities • Emotions • Worship • Conduct • Response to suffering • Spiritual growth

4. Desiring Truth SEMINARS

Addressing Life Issues Scripturally

Christianity is not merely something we believe.

It is the truth by which we are called to live.

Desiring Truth seminars address the real problems, struggles, questions, and responsibilities people encounter in everyday life and examine them through the teaching of Scripture.

Possible seminar subjects include:

FROM KNOWING THE TRUTH TO LIVING THE TRUTH

5. Desiring Truth PUBLICATIONS

Building a Library of Sound Biblical Teaching

Desiring Truth is also committed to producing books and biblical resources that allow serious biblical teaching to remain in your hands long after a radio program, podcast, or seminar has ended.

Our publications are designed to help Christians build a personal library grounded in Scripture and sound doctrine.

OUR BOOKS ADDRESS SUBJECTS THAT MATTER

SOUND DOCTRINE

Christians need to know what they believe.
Our doctrinal publications examine the foundational truths of the Christian faith and show how those truths arise from Scripture.
Doctrine is not dry theology.
Doctrine tells us what is true about God, salvation, Christ, Scripture, ourselves, and the Christian life.

And what we believe will ultimately shape how we live.

SALVATION

What does it mean to be saved?

What is genuine biblical assurance?

What is justification?

What is regeneration?

What is grace?

What is faith?

Can salvation be known with certainty?

What happens to the believer at the moment of salvation?

Desiring Truth publications address these questions carefully so readers can understand the biblical message of salvation and the security believers possess in Christ.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

Salvation is the beginning of the Christian life, not the end of it.

Our books examine how believers are called to:

Grow in holiness.

Walk in the Spirit.

Understand their identity in Christ.

Renew their thinking.

Respond biblically to trials.

Overcome destructive patterns.

Develop godly relationships.

Live in obedience to God’s Word.

We want Christians to understand not simply how they are saved, but how saved people are called to live.

CULTURAL ISSUES

Every generation confronts issues that challenge biblical convictions.

Desiring Truth publications examine cultural questions through the unchanging principles of Scripture.

We do not ask how Christianity can be adjusted to fit the culture.

We ask:

“How should Christians faithfully live according to Scripture within the culture in which God has placed them?”

BOOKS THAT CONTINUE THE RADIO CONVERSATION

Many subjects introduced through the Desiring Truth Christian Radio Talk Show can be developed much more thoroughly in written form.

A radio discussion may raise the question.

A podcast may begin opening the biblical text.

A newsletter may explore the doctrine.

And a Desiring Truth publication can provide the reader with a more complete study of the subject.

That allows every part of the ministry to work together.

Listen to the Question. Study the Scripture. Read Deeper. Live the Truth.
